Credit Report
Get a Credit Report, before you
start looking for a home. When you get your credit report,
check for errors, outdated items or other items that have
been paid but do not show on your report. By doing this first,
you are ensuring a smooth buying process. Contact
us for
more infomation.
Pre-Approval
After reviewing your credit report, the next is
to be pre-approved.
Pre-approval means a lender has a loan approved for you and
all you have to do is find a home within your pre-approved
amount and that the home passes the lenders appraisal. Another
option is to pre-qualify, which is when your agent or broker
looks at your income, assets, and debt and calculates what
you may be able to afford. It is better to be pre-approved
because a seller will know that you have the loan to buy.
If you are unsure which to do, ask your agent.
Home Search
You can search by many different factors ranging from price, location, size,
view, etc. Your real estate agent is an excellent resource for finding the
right home. A good real estate agent should be familiar with neighborhoods,
schools, and all criteria for the type of home you are searching for.
The way real estate agents make the search faster is by taking the information
you give them such as the size of home, pre-approval amount, and area, selecting
only the homes that fit your criteria. Hope these tips are helpful with your
search and good luck.
